Australian Awards (Fully Funded) Scholarship 2020

Australia Awards Scholarship is a fully funded study opportunity for undergraduate and postgraduate studies in Australia. The scholarship is administered by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT). The Australian Awards aim to contribute to the development needs of partner countries in line with bilateral and regional agreements.

This award supports students from developing countries to study full time in Australia for undergraduate and postgraduate studies program in various universities and educational institutes. The awardees will be provided skills and knowledge helpful for their grooming and they will be able to contribute to their communities upon return to home country.

Australian Awards Scholarship is an equal opportunity provider irrespective of gender, race, class, faith etc. the process is purely based on competition. The awardees will study for the specified duration of their degree program in Australia. The successful candidates will have to leave Australia for a minimum of 2 years after completion of the study.

Eligibility

  • Minimum 18 years of age on 01 February 2020
  • Citizen of a participating country
  • Not be a citizen of Australia, permanent resident of Australia or applying for visa to live permanently in Australia
  • Not be a current serving military personnel
  • Able to satisfy the admission requirements of the institution where the award/scholarship is to be undertaken
  • Able to acquire student visa to Australia

English Language Requirements

Applicants are required to meet one of the following requirements if they are not native English speakers.

  • IELTS
  • TOEFL
  • PTE

In case, an applicant is an English language native speaker, he/she has to meet DFAT’s English language requirement to undertake the award.
