The University of Oklahoma’s Professional Fellows Exchange Program 2020

The University of Oklahoma’s Professional Fellows Program 2020 is officially announced for Pakistani, Indian, Nepali and Kazakhstani mid-level emerging leaders under collaboration with US Department of State. The professional fellows program provides exchange opportunity to the USA. The selected candidates will be placed in one of America’s leading universities in addition to opportunity to work with successful businesses in Oklahoma, USA. The program focuses on providing professional training and leadership so that these fellows could pay back to their communities by playing leadership role in their respective positions. The US based businesses will have a chance to collaborate with their Pakistani, Nepali, Indian and Kazakhstani partners.

The successful candidates will be placed in April-May 2020 and will spend five weeks of learning, training and networking in the USA.

Eligibility

  • A citizen of either Pakistan, India, Nepal or Kazakhstan
  • Age between 25-40 years
  • An emerging leader from government, NGO or private sector who have demonstrated expertise in entrepreneurship/start-ups/business or economic development
  • Experienced in small businesses/entrepreneurship/economic professional development and interested in trainings and hands-on experience in the field
  • Proficient in English Language
  • Computer literate
  • Ability to travel alone (without family and friends)
  • compliance with program requirements and activities

  • A one-page cover letter including personal statement (strict adherence to page limit)
  • A two-page resume (strict adherence to page limit)
  • A university/college degree or professional certification
  • Two letters of recommendations written in English (must be latest: written within last two months)

Timeline

Application deadline is 15 December, 2019. Application review and scrutiny start from January 2020. Shortlisted candidates will be called for in-person interview in respective countries in January and February 2020. Program starts in April/May 2020.
